This group investigates the various sciences (Computing, control engineering, mechanics etc..) involved in remote controlled devices such as robots, network devices and the Internet of Things (IOT).

For 2020/7 Further investigations are beginning to be conducted on the use of IOT with home networks for carrying out household tasks etc..

The first investigation will be to create a device to sense activity in a defined space and notify s state to a remote logging facility.

If you enjoy solving problems, constructing mechanical assemblies and using very simple programming languages to make controlled 'movement' commands on the assemblies then this group is the group for you.

One investigation involved the construction of a platform from a commercial robotics kit that will permit sensors, motors and computing elements to be added and interlinked such that the platform can remotely carry out tasks without human intervention.
