The number of Interest Groups continues to grow, many having member vacancies available, covering something for everyone! The Groups Listing informs you if a group has vacancies or not.
The Winter/Spring 2024-25 programme is now well underway with a number of new groups having started up, including additional Pickleball groups taking the current total to 18, a new Bridge 3 group and with the previous Bridge Duplicate group also splitting into two groups. In addition we have Art in the Jubilee Room, Calligraphy for Beginners, Music, Health and Wellness, Reading Historical Novels, Walking Tennis and a What the Papers Say discussion group!
If you don't see what you want here, why not consider starting it yourself? Remember, a u3a is run by and for its members. You don't have to be an academic expert - contact our Groups Coordinator to find out more!
The groups have provided schedules of where and when they plan to meet during the year. These group schedules have been collated into a series of Groups Programmes for 2024/25 which you can download using the button below.
The vast majority of groups are categorised as Standard groups (receiving financial support for 32 hours/year for venue rental) while those groups running for greater than 32 hours/year are categorised as Standard + groups. Members belonging to Standard + groups pay a larger annual membership fee. There are references to the category of each group throughout the webpages on the website.
The list of groups is shown on the next page (button is below). To join any group, contact the Group Leader in advance. Clicking on a group's name will take you to their web page. Then clicking on the Group Leader's name in the web page will enable you to send a message. Some leaders lead more than one group so please make sure you include the group's name in your message.
Even if a group is shown as full, it's worth contacting the Group Leader, as you may be able to join a waiting list.
