The novels we read (post-2010) are selected by the members. Choices are often, but not exclusively, taken from the shortlists of major book awards such as the Booker and Costa. We aim to study the style of writing as well as the content.
At each meeting, there will be a short introduction by the member who has chosen the book before a general group discussion begins. After a short break, our discussion continues, usually including brief readings from the novel.
