Led by Marguerite Collins with support from Dennis Chamberlain and steering group members.
The programme combines presentations from research by u3a members with some invited speakers and visits out.
Our group is now full and we have a waiting list. You may join our waiting list if you wish.
Our meetings start at 9:30 with coffee between 9:30 and 10:00, followed by a presentation from a speaker. Our first meeting is on 16th September .
Our programme this year includes presentations of a wide variety of local history topics, including: Lost Worcester, Worcestershire Life in WW11, Boffins Come to Malvern, Elegant Georgian Worcester, Simon de Montfort, The Two Edward Leaders' . We also visit places of historic interest and have two trips planned for this year, with a social event for the Christmas meeting.
We encourage Members to research topics of local history which they find interesting, and which could then be shared with the group. If you would like to carry out some research but do not feel confident enough to present even a short (10 – 15 minute) talk, we have members willing to take the work further.
We hope there is something of interest here for you and we would welcome you to our friendly group.
