The group meets fortnightly, throughout the year.

We normally meet on the river path behind Cafe Viaduct at 10am on Monday mornings. Most of our rides are 18-20miles and allowing for a coffee break mid-ride, we can get back to Worcester by 1pm. Our aim is to have an enjoyable and sociable ride, averaging about 10mph . Most of our rides take place on designated cycle paths, canal towpaths and 'C' roads. We try to avoid unpleasant weather (our rides are for pleasure!). We will always wait for you if you are a bit slower than the rest of the group.

With regard to equipment, any bike with gears will do but please ensure it is in good, safe condition. It's worth mentioning that over half of the group members now turn up on e-bikes. As you can see from photos on this page, a hi-vis jacket or vest is useful and we all wear helmets as a condition of u3a insurance. Occasionally, we get punctures (usually the hedge-cutting season) so it is worth getting a spare inner tube for your bike as it's often the quickest way to deal with a puncture so that we can all get going again

Details of each ride should be be on this page and will be emailed to you over the weekend before each ride. In the spirit of the u3a, it would be really nice if you could lead a ride once a year. We have a library of past rides to choose from. If the riding conditions are likely to be unsuitable on the day, please look out for a cancellation email before 8.30am on the day of the ride.

10th August - Ride led by Denis. Circular to Crowle via the canal and Oddingly. Returning via Tibberton. About 19 miles

24th August - A ride around (the bottom of) Bredon Hill, led by Jacki Ager and starting from the car park at Eckington Bridge at 10am. (More details to follow)
